Mount Auburn Hospital is a 217-bed teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School and is located in Cambridge, MA. Founded in 1886, the hospital is dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare to the residents of surrounding nearby communities. General Expectations and Duties
1. This position will be required to cross-cover both Cardiac Rehab and Non-Invasive Cardiology Stress Testing per needs of the Cardiology Service Line.
2. Provides competent compassionate patient care based on scientific principles
3. Provides monitoring and care for patients during cardiac rehabilitation
4. Maintains competency in all areas of cardiac rehabilitation offered at Mount Auburn Hospital.
5. Maintains competency in all areas of stress testing: exercise treadmill test, dobutamine stress test, exercise stress echo, dobutamine stress echo, and stress with nuclear imaging.
6. Maintains competency and assists with the monitoring of the patient during stress testing.
7. Exercise physiologist will document accordingly during testing, recognize changes in patient status, and report findings and changes to primary nurse or physician.
8. Maintains competency with application and all aspects of cardiac monitor use including telemetry monitors in Cardiac Rehab.
9. Maintains competency in cardiac rhythm monitoring and adheres to all standards and protocols for patient care.
10. Maintains competency in cardiac rehab fitness/gym equipment
11. Collaborates with exercise physiologists and attending physicians when appropriate for individualized plan of care
12. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
13. Good interpersonal and communication skills
14. Maintains competency in use of the electronic medical record
15. Collaborates with other various departments to ensure continuity of cardiac care
16. Performs all other duties as assigned

Cardiac Rehabilitation Department Description
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at Mount Auburn Hospital is certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). The department offers comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation services to patients in the community. The staff is comprised of a mixture of registered nurses and exercise physiologists.

Stress Lab Department Description
The Stress Testing Lab at Mount Auburn hospital offers various forms of cardiac stress testing and cardiac event monitors. The staff in the Stress Lab is comprised of a mixture of registered nurses and technicians. The Stress Lab staff works collaboratively with the staff from the Echo Lab and Nuclear Medicine to coordinate care during various forms of testing (stress testing with nuclear imaging and stress echocardiograms).

Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree required (must be a degree in kinesiology, exercise physiology, or exercise science)
2. Master’s degree preferred
3. Current BLS preferred
4. Current ACLS preferred
5. Strong cardiology background highly preferred
6. Previous experience in both Cardiac Rehab and Stress Testing highly preferred.
7. Available for flexible dayshifts (Monday-Saturday) per department needs
8. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
9. Specialty certification highly preferred (cardiac rehab and/or stress testing)
