The Quality and Safety Project Manager will play an integral in the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) system Office of the Chief Quality Officer by; managing and enhancing software platforms and analytic tools that ensure high quality, safe, patient centered care, developing and maintaining processes for documenting and sharing best practices across the system, and identifying and project managing initiatives aimed at reducing gaps in quality, safety or patient experience.Job Description:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Experience developing and running reports and administration of safety and outcome software platforms and analytic tools like: Rl Datix (Safety Event Reporting), Vizient (Patient Outcome and Utilization) and Press Ganey (Patient Experience)
2. Works with BILH Quality & Safety leaders and user groups to establish policies and standards for measurement and reporting from safety reporting, patient outcome, and patient experience platforms.
3. Works closely with BILH Quality & Safety leaders to ensure organization wide sharing, deployment and alignment of best practices to drive and achieve goals
4. Utilize a data driven approach to identifying improvement opportunities areas across the BILH System
5. Work with BILH Quality & Safety leaders on initiatives to address gaps in quality, safety & patient experience.
6. Works with BILH Patient Experience leaders to establish a system approach to improving the patient experience
7. Works with BILH Quality & Safety leaders on initiatives aimed at meeting system quality and safety goals
8. Project manage a number of different initiatives within the BILH Office of the Chief Quality Officer portfolio
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Master’s preferred.
5-7 years related work experience required.
Strong ability to analyze and visualize raw data to provide meaningful insights.
Knowledge of hospital and ambulatory quality, safety, and patient experience measures and concepts.
Familiarity with healthcare quality, safety, and reputational bodies like CMS, MassHealth, Leapfrog
Project management skills required to ensure initiatives stay on track and meet goals
Experience with healthcare improvement theory and tools like lean, six sigma or PDSA.
